Cat Dad And Bengal Kitten Share An Adorable Bond

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hat could be better than watching a 5 month old Bengal kitten do slow motion jumps and pounces to the song Sail by AWOLNATION? If you ask me the answer is not much. This video is a great example of the athleticism, beauty, and intelligence of the Bengal cat breed.

In the first 45 seconds of the video we get to see the little kitten leaping into the air and onto fences in pursuit of his favorite Da Bird toy. The music gets us pumped up and excited for our tiny kitten friend and the slow motion footage of him jumping into his dad’s arms is probably my favorite!

Cat Dad And Bengal Kitten Share An Adorable Bond

It’s adorable the bond this kitten and his cat dad have and we get to see more of it as the video transitions from a fun action movie to one of the kitten showing off the many tricks he has learned so far in his young life.

With some shredded chicken as a treat this cat dad has trained his kitten how to sit, as well as play dead, give high fives, shake, roll over, and spin in circles. Training your cat can be a great way to form a bond with your feline friend as well as provide them with the mental stimulation they need.

A common misconception about cats is that they aren’t as intelligent or trainable as dogs, but the trick is simply finding what motivates them. If your cat is food motivated or prey driven you can use treats or their favorite toy to make training fun and rewarding. The sky’s the limit with trick training your cat, so after he has mastered the basics you can get creative and teach him fun tricks that will impress your friends and family.

The last few seconds of the video show the kitten enjoying some of his owner’s ice cream cone. Ice cream can be a fun treat for special occasions, but it’s important to remember that cats can not properly digest the lactose found in dairy products like ice cream, cheese, or milk. A small amount in moderation can be ok, but too much and your kitty could suffer from stomach upset or diarrhea. If your cat loves dairy, but you worry about upsetting her digestive system there are specially formulated cat ice creams and dairy products on the market that will save her tummy and keep her taste buds happy.
