Snow Bengal Kittens Falling Asleep Sitting Up

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]f you have ever fallen asleep at work, or nodded off at dinner you will likely understand what these adorable Snow Bengal kittens are going through in this video. Sometimes the sand man is stronger than we think and sleep comes when we least expect it.

In the video we get to see three cute snow Bengal kittens as they settle down from a filling meal of both wet and dry cat food. One of the kittens has his little paw perched on the lip of the water bowl as his eyes are slowly closing and he drifts off to sleep. Another kitten who is more aware of her impending nap goes to the rug where she lays down in an effort to sleep. The third little kitten was already asleep at the beginning of the video, not even making it a few steps from her plate of wet food.

While the kittens are extremely cute my favorite part of the video is probably momma kitty’s adorable chirps or gurgling sounds. She is so proud of her kittens and happy about the attention her little family is getting from Julie. She wakes up the kittens as she weaves between them letting out chirps of contentment.

At the end of the video we get to see the three siblings sitting next to each other near the water bowl with eyes wide open. These babies are the cutest little things, and I can’t wait to check out the rest of Julie’s videos to see if she has any of them as adults.

The average litter size for a Bengal is 4-5 kittens, but litters can be as small as just 1 kitten or as large as 9-10. While this litter is a bit smaller than average it means that the mother cat will get more time to spend with and socialize each of her kittens, as will the breeder.

Julie Stanton Welch took this purr worthy video during a visit to Wildfire Bengals. This cattery is located in Huntsville, North Carolina and is run by Wendy Symmes. Wendy breeds Bengals as companion animals and raises all the kittens in her home, with many of them even sleeping in bed with her.
